The Application of The Encoder

A series of digital pulse signals are input through the encoder, and the maximum and minimum voltage of the pulse signal are always the same. The frequency of the pulse signal changes with the change of the spindle speed: the spindle speed I is fast, the encoder output pulse signal frequency is larger: the king speed is reduced. The encoder output pulse signal flow rate becomes smaller. The device connected to the encoder is usually an AC actuator (PC). The number of pulses is calculated in the set time to determine the speed of the spindle, and the accumulation of pulses and the calculation of the speed are constantly updated

The encoder used in the Varco TDS-11SA top drive sometimes does not require feedback from the encoder signal when drilling together, but it must be provided by the encoder when connecting and loosening the drill pipe threads, because the torque transmitted by the top drive needs to be adjusted with the speed signal to be smooth and stable.
