EG-250 Impeller (semi open/open)

The EG-250 pump has flexible solutions for impellers, both in open vane and in semi open vane. Open vane impeller design is engineered to reduce turbulence, eliminate recirculation, lower radial and thrust loads, and provide a smooth flow of fluid through the pump.

An impeller, whether semi-open or open, is a key component in a pump that is responsible for generating fluid flow and pressure. It is a rotating device with curved blades or vanes that are designed to impart energy into the fluid being pumped.

A semi-open impeller has blades on one side that are partially open, allowing the fluid to enter the impeller from the side facing the pump suction. On the other hand, an open impeller has blades that are fully exposed on both sides, allowing fluid to enter and exit the impeller freely. They provide high efficiency and are typically found in pumps where the pumpage is relatively clean, such as water circulation systems or clean liquid transfer.
